Our Fire Door Installation Team

Krowl Fire Doors & Security currently employ a team of 4 installers to service the needs of our clients.

The company is lead by experience. The most experienced operative has 25 years Carpentry & Joinery experience, with 75 years worth of experience combined, over the team. Our staff have worked on many commercial and public buildings including offices, retail, schools, healthcare, accommodation, police stations and hotels, to name but a few.

We have always said that a good installer is not one who can merely install, but one who can adapt and overcome more challenging installations and repairs, which we feel stand us in good stead.

Installation Experience & Accreditation

First and foremost, our team are qualified and time served Carpenters & Joiners, serving our time, undertaking stringent training to become accredited fire door installers, steel door installers, aluminium door and shopfront installers, then retrained yet again in access control installation as demand grew, so we could (to give an example), install timber fire doors within a building and install access control to that door without having to suffer delays in our program due to employing external companies and contractors. It was a natural progression for us. We wanted to be able to meet that demand.

You are in safe hands!

Our installation and repair team are also highly experienced glass door and partition installers, steel security door and aluminium door and shopfront installers and repairers. We undertake on-site fabrication to steel doors and aluminium doors when a customer requires access control installing and only have a standard striking plate existing in place.

Access Control Installation

Our team have been trained to install access control systems including online access control systems and stand alone access control systems. In addition, we also install audio and video intercom systems, which can be integrated with access control installations.

Due to being adept installers of the aforementioned, we also install, repair and upgrade existing door hardware and upgrade existing fire ratings and acoustic ratings of doors by replacing products that are defective or installing new intumescent products and acoustic products.

As part of our door hardware range, we also install intelligent "smart" locking systems. To give you an example, the smart lock may have an integrated proximity reader, which can be stand alone or an online enabled device. These devices are very much innovative additions to the range of electronic locking systems, but also trusted and very secure, widely used in schools, public buildings and the healthcare sector, as no wiring or cabled power is required.

Health & Safety

Health and safety is an integral part of our daily working lives, so naturally, we comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all relevant acts governed by it that are applicable to our work.

Our operatives have attended Health and Safety training on various courses, including Safe Contractor, CSCS and the Nebosh General Certificate. Our health and safety practice is taken very seriously as we strive for excellence, achieving an outstanding record with zero production days lost to a single incident and zero reportable incidents recorded since we started trading, boasting an outstanding zero incident record, to date.

We are proud of our health and safety record!
